Today we are living in 2022- the new Era of Technology.

What is YouTube? Who developed/launched? Who owned?(I know, you are not interested in it. But do read!😂)

YouTube is an American online video sharing and social media platform headquartered in San Bruno, California. It was launched on February 14, 2005, by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim. Owned by Google, it is the second most visited website, right after Google itself. YouTube has more than one billion monthly users who collectively watch more than one billion hours of videos each day. As of May 2019, videos were being uploaded at a rate of more than 500 hours of content per minute.

(Everyone has curiosity of knowing about earnings, life-style of Youtuber/Blogger. I will explain it in this blog.)

To whom we can call as a YouTuber?

A person who creates and uploads video on Youtube.

For some, it’s a hobby — something they do to share their expertise, network and have fun. For others, it’s a full-time job that pays the bills and then some.

You might call yourself a YouTuber if you regularly post content to the platform or earn a living from your video content.

Nowadays, the term ‘YouTuber’ is synonymous with multi-millionaire. But not every YouTuber brings home the big bucks. At the end, content matters most.

How much money can YouTuber make?

There are no perfect numbers for YouTubers earning. It actually varies based on their content/views/frequency of posts, etc.

YouTubers can make money in many different ways. Most of the successful YouTubers earns in following ways.

  • Advertising — joining YouTube’s partner program (Check eligibility)
  • Affiliate sales — becoming an affiliate partner
  • Merchandise — selling their own merch like mugs, T-shirts and toys
  • Crowdfunding — joining a site like Patreon or using online tipping services
  • Licensing — licensing their content to the media
  • Sponsorships — creating sponsored content for brands

2022’s top-earning YouTubers include 9-year-old Ryan Kaji, who netted 29.5 million USD in a single year playing with toys, and amateur stuntman, MrBeast, who turned over a respectable 17.5 million USD.

But, it’s important to note that Ryan’s income includes profits from over 5000 branded toys and MrBeast has a long list of corporate sponsors.

If we only consider income from YouTube’s Partner program, YouTube content creators earn an average of $18 per 1,000 views. Meaning, a YouTuber getting 100,000 views per month would make a very modest wage of 1,800 USD.

To whom we can call a blogger?

Blogger is a person who write content in the form of blog posts which are meant to provide valuable information to people in a way that’s free and easy to read. It’s the first step to building trust with readers so that you can turn them into customers in the future.

How bloggers can make money?

Bloggers are of two types. One has to write blogs for fun/entertainment, etc.

And others are full-time blogger so, has to earn for living.

If you want to make money from your blogs and turn it into a part-time or full-time career, there are other tasks you need to do. Some of these tasks include:

  • Affiliate marketing
  • Email marketing
  • Social media marketing
  • Selling products

Plus, you should be more interactive with your viewers while writing blogs. Try to respond to comments, keeps your blogs updated.

This is not a complete list, but you can start your journey as a blogger with these steps.

Nowadays, there are lot of bloggers who earns money from Instagram, Facebook, etc. by making informative videos, vlogs.
