Work and Job

The title may be fascinating you from what it is.

Before moving on, ask few questions to yourself.

  1. Are you doing your job with passion?

Job mean any specific kind of work you are doing. It might be your daily work at home, may be doing some private job, government job, any business or may be doing studies.

Next ask yourself,

2. Are you happy with it?

3. Are you adding any values to yourself?

For most of them, answers will be NO.

As a result, you must work on changing your answers to YES.

How? Let’s see.

Most of the times what we do, we decide to move with the flow instead of following our dreams and passion. We actually choose our career/passion based on other’s decisions and thoughts. We never fight for the career decisions or following the passion which you think right. And that’s where we actually fail.

It’s not wrong, to follow someone or to be like someone. But never push their thoughts on yourself. Try to listen your inner voice.

Let me give some example.

When you are purchasing some expensive product let’s say mobile, you will take suggestions from many people, but you only buy what you like. If you have decided to buy an iphone then you will definitely buy an iphone, even if someone says it not worth it. So why we are not implementing same thing while taking decisions which are much required for our better future.

How can we add value to ourself? And how will it help?

Adding an X to Y will definitely increases the value of Y by some quantity X. So this basic arithmetic equation that will help you to understand the things.

Take your Self Test at the end of the day while performing your regular duties to determine your VALUE Score.

As part of Self Test, ask below two simple questions.

  1. What I learn from it?
  2. Will it be helpful forever?

If you got the positive answers, you are on track. Else you need to work on it.

While juggling with hectic daily schedules, we actively working on achieving goals, promotions, competing with others in exam, etc., with varying degrees of success. And due to this, we forget to listen our inner voice.

In order to check your learnings from your completed work, try to find some time for yourself. Because ultimately, these lessons will benefit even if you fail at your workplace, an exam, or a promotion. And this is actually advantageous for your long-term outcomes.

At the end, I will say follow your passion, follow your inner voice and work on achieving the same.

Hope you have enjoyed this. Stay tuned for future blog post!
